Prologue. As I mentioned in part 1, the Trans-America Trail is a dual-sport motorcycle adventure designed by Sam Correro. The route consists of about 80 percent off-pavement roads which crosses 4,800 miles of the U.S. from eastern Tennessee to the Pacific coast in Oregon. The official trail head is Tellico Plains, TN and ends in Port Orford, OR.
