I grabbed one of the repro trench gun heat shields from Numerich that just came back in stock, for fun thought I would check some of my other shotguns and the heat shield will fit Mossberg 500 shotguns. It is an original trench gun and is in really good condition with one caveat - the heat shield was ripped off. It still has the bayonet lug, but the original guy ripped the heat shield off.
